Southern Comfort ,self catering holiday cottage is ideally located in the popular Downalong area of St Ives.The Harbour beach is yards away and it is only a couple of minutes to Porthmeor Porthgwiddon Beaches, and convenient for The Tate and all the shops and restaurants This pretty holiday cottage has been fully restored still maintaining its charm and antique character. Comfortably furnished and equipped to a very high standard, with a range of antique and vintage furniture. The holiday cottage also features a lovely and sunny front patio for outdoor enjoyment.
From the patio you enter into the living room with high beamed ceiling, wooden plank floor, a fireplace with a wood burning stove and sunny window seat with original shutters. There is a three seater sofa and two tub chairs, a selection of artwork and colour TV, DVD. During the day natural light floods in and for the evenings the shutters and ambient lighting make it a cosy room to snuggle up in. 
Two steps up to a fitted kitchen/diner with terracotta tiled floor, beamed ceiling, original Cornish sink, gas cooker with double oven, washing machine/dryer, fridge, microwave, window and old-style larder. New addition is a mini HiFi with Ipod/Iphone Dock, radio and Cd player. Stable door leads out to a walled back courtyard for drying etc.

Staircase from lounge to First Floor:
The front facing, master bedroom is beautifully furnished with an elegant mahogany sleigh king size bed with an all-season duvet meaning you can snuggle up in the winter under the full 13.5 togs or feel cool in the summer with just 4.5 togs and of course only crisp White Company bed linen can finish off the feeling of luxury. There is antique mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. The window overlooks the ourtyard to the front of the property.
Bedroom two is a very pretty room with two x 3ft American oak beds each with bedspreads and lambswool throw, wardrobe, and painted antique dressing table/chest of drawers. The sky light lets in plenty of llight but is fitted with a blackout blind to prevent early waking in the summer, the other window looks out to the rear of the property.
White panelled bathroom with WC, shower over bath and freestanding basin. Fixed pine mirror and matching storage shelves/towel rails.
The outside front patio is south facing, screened and now furnished with a bench, 2 chairs and a side table and a selection of plants. A lovely wind free (generally) sun trap for a calm drink.
