Safety
Smoke alarm: Located above spotlight at the top of the stairs
Carbon Monoxide alarm: Located in the 2nd bedroom above the entrance door
Fire Extinguisher: Located in the kitchen near the sink - General purpose extinguisher

Rubbish Bins
A green wheelie bin is located to the right of the cottage entrance, alongside three other bins.
Ours is marked with the number 8. Please use our bin only.
Collection is every Friday.

Electricity
The electricity fuse box is located above the front door. The trip switches details are located on the fuse box door.

Water
The stopcock is located in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. Lift the rotating flap at the back right.

Hot Water and Central Heating Boiler
The boiler is situated in the 2nd bedroom cupboard
All controls on the boiler are situated behind the bottom hinged door

Hot Water
Supplied on demand
Speed of the water out of the taps dictates the temperature. If you require the water to be hotter just reduce the flow from the tap.

Central Heating
To turn heat ON:
Turn the green dial on the bottom to the centre position marked (III f)
Temperature in each individual room is controlled at the radiator by turning the temperature control dials to the desired number.
To turn heat OFF:
Turn the green dial on the bottom to the bottom position marked (f)
NOTE:
GREEN dial on the left bottom should always be left on the (I) mark otherwise there will be no hot water

Cleaning
The vacuum cleaner is located in the cupboard under the stairs.
All cleaning materials are located in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.

Ironing
Ironing board and iron are provided and are located in the cupboard under the stairs. Please take care when using and do not leave unattended when on.

Washing Machine/Dryer
We cannot be held responsible for any damage to items washed in the washing machine.
Please read instruction manual located in the welcome information pack before attempting to use the washing machine.

Electrical/Gas Kitchen Appliances
Cookers – Gas only – Before gas is discharged, open the glass top so that it is all the way back (Safety feature). There is a manual spark generator to ignite gas.
Microwave – an industry standard user model.
Toaster – an industry standard model.

Fire Place- Wood Burning Stove.

Instructions can be found in the welcome file, please read before use. DO NOT operate with door open.

There is a NON working fireplace in the bedroom.

Telephone
There is no landline available but good mobile coverage.

WiFi

Available for low useage, details in welcome file.
